 finally....

For some reason, life seems to have interfered with my posting about my handsome little boy. So much has happened that I’ve forgotten the majority of it, but I will try to remember some of it….

Christmas this year was great. Mikhai had a riot opening presents. He couldn’t get enough of it! We opened quite a few presents too….Saturday before Christmas we had a party with close friends, Christmas eve we go to my B-I-L’s parent’s house for Christmas over there, Christmas morning with mom, dad and krys, and then Christmas day with my sister and her family. So Mikhai got to open several presents. And when he ran out, his papa let him open some of his. The one present that stands out amongst all others that my son got will eventually be the cause of death for my sister. Some of you may know her as Renee, my mother says that people will soon know her as dead for buying my son a DRUM KIT. Hehe, I think it’s hilarious. Mikhai has a great time playing with it and the only reason I will kill someone is because my little sister gets on there and starts banging. Mikhai just plays for a minute or two and then he’s done. Not krys. Ugh!

My new years eve was awesome. Mikhai stayed home with his uncle and cousins and I went out to Dallas with some friends to a concert. I got my first experience with a mosh-pit that night! That was cool! Can’t wait to do it again either! I’ll be better prepared this time though by not wearing flip flops.

More recently though, mom and dad decided (without any prompting from me) that Mikhai was getting too old to sleep in the room with me and that we needed to clean out mom’s sewing room and put him in there so he can have his own room. (*picking jaw off the floor*) wow. That came from left field. I was expecting to have my son in the room with me until we moved out. Whenever that might be. But when they told me, they said that it would be done by the next weekend. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened. Dad got in an accident on the way home from work last Wednesday and totaled my truck and with his bruising, he can’t lift mom’s sewing desk to carry it downstairs. (That desk weighs a small ton.) This past weekend would have been a great weekend to do it though. We were on house arrest (by mom) and couldn’t leave cuz of the freezing rain we had. This weather is weird for Texas. We do good to get under 40 degrees and here we are with snow this morning. Where did that come from? We don’t do good with snow. At all. I’m here at work right now and between three companies of about 32 employees, there are 6 people here. I don’t foresee us getting many more.

I saw one of my previous blogs about Mikhai’s words and looking at that list it seems so tiny compared to everything that he is trying to say now. He is talking up a storm. His rotten papa is trying to get him to say “pinche” or “uncle pinche”. Bad man! Lol. Mikhai thinks it’s fun cuz papa gets such a trip out of it. I know last night while I was getting stuff for dinner he was telling the dog to “lay down” and it was very clear. OH!!! He says love you! Makes me get all happy whenever he says it and his grama just gushes when he tells her. (how is it that when I want to write this stuff down, I can’t seem to remember most of what he has said, but any other time I can remember so much more….ugh)

 lights out

last night was, umm, interesting. we spent the evening doing all our activities by candle light. someone who always harps on my about my finances and not being able to pay everthing has now had (in the span of a week) two unpaid bills resulting in something in the household being turned off. the land line was turned off late last week. (she said she doesn't care about that one cuz no one uses the damn thing anyway except bill collectors.) the electricity was turned off yesterday. so when we got home last night we lit every candle we could find. that provided some light but it sure got stuffy in there cuz they wouldn't open any windows. (ya know, my parents are really damn stubborn sometimes.) and for dinner, well that was made on the grill. it's got a burner on the side so we put a pot on there and cooked chicken strips on the grill. actually, dinner wasn't too bad. it was kinda fun if you could get past the grumpy attitudes of the parents.

you never realize how loud the items in your household are until they stop. wow.

oh, yeah, for all the siblings and people who have contact with mother, don't say anything to her unless she says something to you. i got yelled at last night for almost telling my sister when she called me. she doesn't want anyone to know. *rolling eyes*
