well, we went to the dr last week to try and figure out what's up with the fat man. she put him on a daily (chewable) pill of singulair. he thinks they are candy and has absolutely no problem eating them. he also takes zyrtek every evening before bed. then she gave us liquid albuterol, just in case he is having a coughing fit and can't seem to stop. so far we haven't had to use it. hopefully we won't either.

when the nurse weighed him in the beginning, he was 33 lbs. i think last time we went in he was only about 28.5 or so. he's gained almost five pounds in three months. healthy eating i guess.

someone at work told me to make sure that i measure his height right at his second birthday, then double that and that will be his height when he is grown. the woman said it was accurate for two of her three kids. (she said the third one was off because she waited like four months after the kids birthday when she measured her) so we'll try it and see if it works. i can't remember, but i think he's already reached 36" and still has a few months to go before he's two. so if that's the case, he will be over 6' tall. i don't mind. the only problem will be finding clothes that will fit his ever growing body. hehe, we'll just steal them from his cousin. we just got a large box of hand-me-downs last week. already going through them to see what he can wear now. i think he wore a pair of 3T pants yesterday that were just a smidgen too big. he looks so adorable.

OH! speaking of adorable. we got his hair cut yesterday. that was a figgin lesson in torture. remind me to never go there again without making an appointment. we were a walk-in and i waited an hour and half before someone got to us. so i will never go there agian without an appointment. but bac to the hair. she cut the back of it on a four and the sides on a two over his ears. then the top is short enough that we can spike it or put gel in it and make it messy if we want. i had the woman put stuff in it to spike it before we left and he just looked plum handsome. he got mad at me for taking so many pictures...lol. well, what's a mom supposed to do? not take pictures? yeah right. as if.

woohoo, tawny is excited!!! i get to go see the toadies in concert in just under a month, and then the next weekend i get to see BTB (bless the broken - a local band) and then april 15th is edgefest. the lineup for that day ROCKS. hmm, what to say?

mikhai is growing so fast. he's only 21 months old and is already outgrowing a size 2T. he hasn't been in anything for a size 24month in a long time. i've decided that the only way to get the most of my money when i buy clothes is to purchase clothes for him in size 2/3T. they may be a little big on him for a little while, but at least he will be able to wear them for more than two months.

his vocabulary is growing my leaps and bounds and his ability to mimic something you say is infinite. you say something, especially something bad, and he is almost guaranteed to repeat it. even if all you do is whisper the word, he's gonna take that one word and repeat it 7-8 times before you realize that he is doing it.

he knows almost all of his body parts; ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, nose, hair (although not a body part), feet, toes, hands, fingers, cheeks, hiney (that one is cute to watch him point to, especially if he is sitting on it...lol).

he has mastered the ability to climb the stairs. he has his hand on the wall, but he steps up without any help. he can also go down the stairs without help. we're in trouble now....

he knows what it means to be "illegally parked". he rides his bike in the living room, through the hallway and in the formal living room. well, he has a tendency to leave his bike parked at the bottom of the stairs (he tries to ride his bike up the stairs. thank God he hasn't managed that yet). well the stairs are RIGHT by the front door and when papa comes home at night, he either can't get in the door or he trips over mikhai's bike. papa will yell at him and tell him that he needs to move his bike cuz he is illegally parked. last night he was parked in the hallway and grama almost tripped over it and she told him he was illegally parked.... "wegally park" is what mikhai said as he went to go move his bike.

i think i have mentioned that mom and dad said that mikhai was going to get his own room. well that was something like two months ago. slowly he is getting closer to that. yesterday i took a little bit more of the craft shit of my mother's downs stairs to her new corner. so all that's left if a dresser, a gazelle (that never gets used cuz no one can get to it), halloween decorations, all moms pictures and a bunch of little odds and ends for crafts that weren't in a box. i would be more than happy to get all the stuff out of the room, but none of it is mine and i don't know where she wants to put the stuff. i would have to ask her for damn near every item i moved. so, mikhai will get his room once his grama gets off her a** and takes care of things. i'm already trying to get things to put in his room. i have some pictures to hang that were in krys's room and i'm getting him a collapsible storage box for some of his toys. mom and dad will be excited once he has his own room cuz right now, his toy box is a corner of the living room downstairs...lol.

i'm sitting here waiting for a site to load and i look over at my little man and all i can do is sigh at the capacity of love i feel for that small human. he is so sweet and loving and he just looks so damn adorable there in his "big boy" bed.

okay, i was lightly reprimanded the other day by a co-worker for not post nearly enough about my baby. this blog is supposed to be about him right? lol. okay so let's see if i can remember anything to post....

*his vocabulary is getting amazing. he will repeat damn near everything you say to him. the other night on the way to my grandparent's house, i was saying things and he would repeat it. him enunciation (sp?) was amazing. words like 'massage' he says very well. words that you wouldn't expect from a 20 month old. yeah, he's already 20 months. that's just four months shy of 2 years. ouch. that hurts mom just thinking about it.
*ms. tee was asking him how old he was yesterday and he would hold up one finger and say three. i don't know how many times i've said that my son is only 20 months old, but he thinks he is three. now he even says that he is.


hmm, well, it's getting late and monster and i have to get ready to go to a birthday party for an old lady. she's turning 30 next week....and the "world as we know it is coming to an end" lol

tonight if we don't get home too late i'll sit and think about some things to put in here. laters..........
