yup. that's it. he's only 8 months old, but he is doing things that one would expect from a 15-18 month old. i love picking mikhai up from ms. tee's. yesterday when we pulled up my mom noticed that he was standing in her front window with emma and ben waiting for mommy to show up. when i got out i walked in front of the window until he recognized me and the look of joy and surprise on his face was wonderful. that is one of the best things i have ever seen. when i got inside he was all excited and couldn't hold still. made me get this huge grin on my face that he was so excited to see me. ms. tee is going to have to repaint her window sill in the future cuz mikhai is at the perfect height to use the sill as a teething biscuit...lol. when i was looking in the window, all i saw of mikhai was from his nose up as he was chewing on the window sill...
while i'm in there, she tells me about his day and any changes i need to know about. well first off she tells me that she is giving me all his bottles back. he doesn't use them there any more, all he uses is the sippy cup. (this is one of those double take moments) "oh, oka--wha-! no bottles? at all?"

nope. he doesn't even use one for nap time. hmmm, well that's cool. then she tells me that he got a diaper when she asked him to get it. wait a minute, he's not supposed to understand stuff like this yet. she said that she was floored. he didn't get one of his own diapers, but the fact that he understood what she was talking about and followed through with it is just amazing! i swear if i didn't know better, i'd think he was almost two.
this afternoon we're going to get a second flu shot that the doctor recommended he get. then as soon as we leave that dr, we're going to go see a new one. or rather, one that i'm hoping will be his new doctor. this lady was recommended by a woman i work with and when i told ms. tee this morning who we were going to see, she got excited. that's who her children used to see but the dr moved out of her network so they don't anymore. but she said the woman is wonderful and she would go back to her in a heartbeat. that's good to know.
