i knew it wouldn't be very long for that fourth tooth to break through. i found it saturday morning when i was checking to see how far the third one had come down.

i also found out that my son has been grinding his teeth. we're gonna have to find a way to break that real soon.

umm, so is it still called sleep walking when the person in question didn't really get up and walk? last night mikhai (i thought) woke up. i was still awake so it wasn't a big deal. he sat up in bed and was talking to me so i picked him up but all he wanted to do was bury his head in my shoulder. so i cradled him in my arms and rocked him. he took his right hand and played with my face and took his right foot and kept putting it on my shoulder. all this time his eyes are closed, but he's still talking. mikhai does not let you cradle him unless he is drinking a bottle and going to sleep. that is the only time you will catch him in that position without fighting. after i realized what he was doing, all i could do was laugh. my son was talking in his sleep.

well, he decided to do this again. after i had just gotten back to sleep. for the third time. this time wasn't so funny. i was cranky. and didn't laugh.

this weekend grama and papa are going to shreveport with grama rose, grandpa tony, dee dee, tim and tim's mom. so mikhai and i get the lovely honor of babysitting my lil sis. yippee. i was thinking we might got to see a movie since i have some tickets through work. not sure though. i don't have any extra money to get popcorn or drinks or anything like that, so we'll have to see.

mom just did my taxes this week and i'm so excited! i'm getting WAY more back than i ever thought i would. i'm gonna get some serious bill paying done. i've been debating on whether or not to go on a cruise with mom, dad and krys in november, but that will be almost $2,000 and i don't know if that's how i want to part with that much money when i could use that $2,000 to pay off an entire CC and have money left over. one thing is for sure. as soon as that money hits my bank i'm taking my happy ass to cingular to buy a new phone. i HATE the one that i have. it's a figgin pain in the butt to use. very not-user friendly. (go figure since it's the cheapest one there is-mom picked them out since she was paying that day. i had to pay her later)

thought i'd post something about the little idiosyncrasies of my son:

-when he is drinking his bottle and is on the verge of falling asleep, he will either run his hand across my face, play with my hair (what little he can reach) or reach up and play with his own hair. that there is a sure indication he is just about down for the count.

-if he is crawling into the kitchen to attack the dog's cage and we holler at him to get back in the living room, he will stop, turn so that he is sitting facing us, smile this devil of a smile and proceed to continue on his journey to the dog's cage.

-he is a master at walking sideways around the coffee table to get the cards that his aunt krys is valiantly trying to keep out of his reach. he sees those cards and gets this gleam in his eyes like "oh! there they are. i'm gonna get them this time"

-when he is trying to understand something or you have done something to make him mad, he scrunches his eyebrows and gets this adorable scowl on his face. (perfect copy of his momma's scowl if i say so myself)

well, we met with the new pediatrician and i really like her. i told her that i am ver disappointed in the dr we have been seeing and i have come out of his office multiple times feeling like an idiot. she said that should never happen, especially during a well-check. she said those appointments are supposed to be happy ones to see where you baby is and how he is developing. just in this consulation she asked more questions about his development than dr.c ever has. so we have an appointment on the 24th for our 9 month well-check.

before we met dr.sampson, we went to get mikhai's second dose of flu shot and i must say my boy is wonderful. he just tensed up when she stuck that massively huge needle in my poor baby's leg. he didn't even wimper. (that might be because i had a cup of milk in his mouth and he wanted that more than he wanted to cry. ) the nurse said she wished her boys did that. they see the nurse and start screaming.

also, mr. mikhai has had one of his top teeth trying to break through for about a week now and it finally broke the skin yesterday. so now the third tooth is free to come down and the fourth one is right behind it. i think prolly in another week he might have the fourth one through. we'll have to see though. yeah!!!
