i hope no one walks by my glass office right now cuz i'm sucking my thumb. no, i don't regularly suck my thumb, but i just sliced the thing open with the edge of a manilla folder and the sum-bitch hurts! so i'm sucking on it for comfort at the moment. prolly should stop cuz it's almost break time and lots of people will be coming by.

last night was not a good night to get sleep. i'm starting to feel like crap, and my entire body hurts and mikhai alternated between my bed and the crib the entire night, so needless to say i didn't sleep for nothin. but the poor guy can't breathe. after talking with mom and ms. tee, i'm thinking he's got asthma and needs a treatment. but i don't have a nebulizer or medication to treat it. i think i'm gonna try to get an appointment for him tomorrow after work to see the dr.~~~i actually just made one so we'll go see the new dr. tomorrow afternoon and see if she can't help my baby feel better.

i handed LeaAnn a letter and told her to put it in the mail bin before i change my mind and decide not to mail it. "it" is a letter to mikhai's father informing him of the birth and some facts about his life at this point. jojo helped me alot to make sure that it wasn't emotional (which is what i am at this point after thinking about the stupid letter for days now) but informative. and not snide like i want to be.

i mailed it. so now i just have to wait and see if there will be a response.

my dad has the flu. bleh. monday he started feeling like crap and went to bed as soon as he got home. he stayed hom from work yesterday and went in today, but he called my mom before lunch to say that he was wanting to go home and she made him go to the dr first. so dr says he has the flu. i'm the only one in the house who hasn't had a flu shot yet. i'm gonna be poppin those vitamin C pills like they're candy now. oh! and my niece had really bad strep last weekend. so, i REALLY hope mikhai doesn't get sick again. i can't afford to take any more time off work.

noodles and sauce everywhere!

mikhai ate his own bowl of spaghetti last night. he did really good, for a first timer. :o) he had a spoon that didn't really get used. that was in his right hand and he used his left hand to scoop noodles into his mouth for eating. i had stripped him to his diaper and laid a large plastic sheet on the floor under him and it's a good thing, too. cuz he dropped his bowl once and his spoon about three or four times. he finished his first bowl and i got him another one but he didn't seem interested. he was fussy and i think it was a combination of tired, but still hungry, and tired won out. so i plopped him in the tub, noodles and all and let him play for a while until he got tired of that. he loves the tub. i love it cuz it's a miniature playpen! just add a little bit of water and some toys and mikhai is in hog heaven. just gotta make sure that the soap is out of reach and he stays away from the spout. (i really have to go get one of those spout covers that they sell at babies 'r us.)but he finished, i put pj's on him and gave him his cup (i haven't given him a bottle in about a week) and he passed out in no time at all.

-i have to remember to tell ms. tee this evening. hmm, i love picking him up after work. the excited, can't sit still baby smiling at ME. makes my heart melt. (is it time to go home yet?)

my sister just e-mailed and said that my neice has a loose tooth. she cried when she found out. i told her that my kid is just getting teeth and her kid is losing her teeth. (i can't believe that it's that time for her already)

talking to my sister about "our kids" just leaves me with a sense of wonder at the new relationship that we have. even though i am brand new to the scene. i feel like part of the grown-up club. lol

hmmm, gotta stop, it's time to go home!
