our family has found this great restaurant called Ton's Mongolian Grill. man is this place cool. its' kinda like a buffet, but everything is raw. you go through this line and select your meats and veggies and noodles, then you pour your oils and sauces over everything. after that you take it to the grill where these three guys stand in front of a circular grill and cook your (and everyone elses) food. they constantly walk around this grill moving the food. it's really neat to watch and the food is amazingly good. well, we have a tendancy to go there at least once a week so that should say something about how good we think it is...lol. but when you are done with your meal, they give you this little bowl of whipped ice cream.

now, on to the whole point of my post......krys eats like a bird and is finished eating before everyone else at the table, especially mikhai and wants to get her ice cream then. well he knows what that ice cream is. and he would prefer to have that over the real food that he is supposed to be eating. we have now banned krys from getting ice cream until mikhai is finished eating. after he's done we all get ice cream. or rather, mom and krys get a bowl and i get half a bowl because mikhai has eaten the other half.

grama has had to have this talk twice now with mikhai. the saturday before last (the 18th) mikhai fell somehow and busted his mouth right where the gums and the lip meet on the inside. poor little guy bled like crazy. grama told him then that there was to be no more blood. (yeah right) so this past saturday (the 25th) we were at my godmother's house and he falls down and hits his mouth on a chair leg. he started crying, no big deal. until he's rubbing his mouth and his hand is coming away bloody. oh great. he did it again. this time his tooth split his lip and he had a fat lip all weekend.

grama keeps trying to convince him that his head is not a bouncy ball to throw against furniture. he has a goose egg on the corner of one eyebrow where he whacked the corner of the coffee table. not cool.

i got to listen to my mother whine because mikhai refused to say good night to her, but insisted on saying "bye papa" over and over and over again. (hehehehehe) all the way home from work the other day all i heard was "your son is a terd. 'bye papa, bye papa, bye papa' why can't he say bye ama!?" i just laughed at her. then my sister called me to tell me that my son i wrong. what?! she said that she picked him up from ms. tee's and he didn't want to go to her. he kept trying to get back into ms. tee's arms. and he cried the entire way to her house. my sister said he was wrong for doing that and he's not supposed to decide he doesn't want to go with someone yet. she said he's not old enough to do that yet. or rather, she doesn't want him to be old enough for that.

my mom told me yesterday that if she wasn't in the delivery room with me on the day that i had my son that she wouldn't belive that he is only 10 months old now. with all the shit he is doing and how he acts, you would swear he is at least 18 months. sorry, the pain of the birth was only 10 months ago, not 18.....

mikhai has started throwing temper tantrums.

ms. tee said the other day that he had a "throw down fit" because she was giving the other kids a popcicle at snack and he didn't have his yet. (she was keeping him till last so that she could strap him in his chair and put a bib on him) but as soon as she gave him his, he shut up.

also, every day now for the last week or two, he has screamed the entire 3 minutes it takes us to get him because he doesn't want to be in his car seat. too bad buddy!

we'll have to see how this progresses.....hopefully not too far!

yesterday my cousin's baby turned 1. which means that mikhai will be turing 1 in two months. it doesn't seem as though that much time has passed. but every day i look at mikhai and he's not a little baby anymore. he is getting that "toddler" look. my baby is growing up too blasted fast!

we had a good weekend even though almost every minute was spent with my parents. (ugh)

saturday night we went to a surprise party for my girlfriend's dad. it went off wonderfully. we invaded a restaurant with about 65 or so people. he walked in and everyone screamed hello and his jaw dropped. then he looked around the room and every new person/group he saw made his jaw drop again. it's so nice to see him in happy spirits. his health is not the greatest and depending on how things go, he may or may not be here for his next birthday.

oh! mikhai has no problems now standing up in the middle of the floor without hanging on to something. he did it several times this weekend. and he has been jabberin' up a storm. my mother woke him up this morning by screaming at my lil sis, but mikhai woke up and started talkin to me. (not too sure what he was saying, but he was talkin away.) he informed me yesterday that he wanted "UP!" though.

i can't remember if i've mentioned this or not, but ms. tee told me that i could have the video camera that she was letting us borrow. her parents are giving her one. that's cool! :o) she is so sweet and mikhai loves her.
