hehe, my son is rotten.

mikhai is at my sister's again today because ms. tee is at her grandfather's funeral, so my sister got the monster at o-dark thirty this morning. she called me a little bit ago to tell me that my son was, i think she said, "a shit". i asked why and she said "do you want to know how your son woke me up this morning?" umm, okay, how did he wake you up. "he bit me on the nose!" HAHAHAHA! i told her he was just trying to give her a kiss and missed! lmao. (she didn't laugh as hard as i did for some reason)

last night when we got home i got mikhai a glass of milk so that he could lay down cuz when i picked him up from my sister's house she said that he had not had a nap all day and that he was REALLY tired. so mikhai sees me getting the cup and he wants it NOW. so to try and get him to calm down, i make him take me to the fridge where the the milk is. when he is standing in front of the door, i open it and the first thing that he starts to reach for is the hershey's chocolate syrup. i wasn't going to give him any so i put the lid on it and tried to hand it to him. he didn't even taste the damn milk. the little shit knew that i didn't put any chocolate in there so he was having none of it. he shook his head "no" at me and turned around to the fridge again. he wanted chocolate in his cup and wouldn't take it any other way. so of course i put chocolate in there and he was happy. he still didn't lay down for a nap right away, but he was happy.

he finally fell asleep about 6:15 and slept for a little over an hour. when he woke up it was dinner time. so while i'm in the fridge getting the food, he pulls out the step stool and climbs on top of it to sit at the table in the kitchen. he sat there until i got everything ready and that's where he ate dinner last night.

i know i've said this before, but i am just amazed at how smart this little boy is. he is already connecting events. "if mom says it's time to eat, i climb on the stool and i get food." i don't remember any of the babies understanding quite so early (except maybe mikey). mikhai is going to talk early also. he already repeats things. we swear that he told his papa last week "i'm getting it". ms. tee said that she too has heard him repeat things. not just sounds, but connecting words. if he doesn't like something you are doing (like when krys and i are horsing around) he will tell you to "stop it". or if it's time to leave, "hurry up". he LOVES to leave. you don't even have to say anything about going bye-bye. papa said "okay let's go" one night and mikhai was at the door ready. he just needed someone to open it for him. he understands that you have to lift the handle to get the car door open. he also understands that if it is just he and i, that we don't go to grama's car, we go to moms.

saturday morning while we were still in bed playing, he was on my chest and i just asked him for kisses to see what he would do and he leaned down and put his lips to mine. yeah baby, momma was the first person to get kisses freely from mikhai. so now every chance i get i ask for kisses. he even makes the "mmmmwah" sound when kissing you. it's so adorable.

speaking of kisses....i got kissed at LSP on saturday. lol. in the section that i was working, there was a group that the guys there were just hilarious. they were giving each other (and me) shit all day. i was dishing out just as good as i got most of the day. well one of the guys was saying something about $4000. i thought he was just saying that he could have gotten $4000 if he had gotten another horse in there. well, i'm taking his buddy's bet when he throws his arms around me and plants a kiss on my cheek. "ohkay." he said, "dear, i just won $4000 on that trifecta!" SWEET! then he hands me a $20 bill and said that was for doing the ticket for him. then in the next couple races he tipped REALLY good. he would have a bet for $20 and give me $25, or a bet for $40 and give me $45. now he had been tipping really good all day, but it just got a lot better after he won that money. that's the most anyone in my section has ever won (that i know of). but that was my good day so far this weekend. i think in the past three days i've made (in tips only) about $250. plus i get my paycheck. the one for next weekend is going to be very nice, five workdays on there....yeah baby! (the paycheck is going to be nice, but i've only worked three of the five so far and i'm friggin exhausted.)

yesterday when i picked mikhai up from ms. tee's and he realized that i was there, instead of walking to me and giving me hugs and loving on me, he walked right to his bag, grabbed it and handed it to me. "okay mom, i'm ready to go". ms. tee said that his aunt has been training him at her house.

i'm not too sure what's going on with him at night. he has not slept all night since sunday night. every night he has woken up and not gone back to sleep until i pick him up and put him in bed with me. (even then he wakes up several times crying.) he won't even lay there and cry himself to sleep. he wakes up, comes to the corner of his crib where i am sleeping and holds his arms out for me. the only thing i can think of is that his teeth are bothering him. i guess i'll try to give him some teething tablets tomorrow night (i won't be home most of the night tonight...have to work)

i am so not looking forward to this weekend. i have to work tonight, tomorrow, sunday, monday and tuesday at LSP. and monday i have to work at my full time job also. good God i'm gonna need a vacation!

many hospital trips with my son and broken bones.

he is a dare-devil! for his birthday he got a little tykes bike and we still have the box in the living room cuz he likes to play with it. well last night he stood on top of the box and was dancing like he does on the coffee table and he decided that he wanted down so he just stepped off the side. (not once, but twice he did this) the side was a 12"-16" drop to the floor. he stepped off and plopped on the floor face first. oh! his bike....it is the kind that has the handle for the parent to use to push them when they are just getting started. well, mikhai was standing on his bike backwards and leaning against the handle....and tipped the bike backwards and landed on his face. again, he did this not once, but twice. mom said i did a really good job in not laughing at him....lol.

so, i see in my future many visits to the hospital.
