wow, i'm shocked that i'm still awake after the crazy weekend that we've had.
yesterday, we all got up to go see my cousin play baseball (he made the team at school so we had to support him). boy, let me tell you it was friggin cold outside yesterday. actually, it wasn't cold, but when that wind started blowing, it didn't matter how many layers of clothing you had on, you were going to get blasted to the shin. i get the shivers just thinking about it. anyway, the game rocked. they did a double header and the first game wasn't even much of a game. brian's team (in the first inning) i think ran through their batting line-up two or three times. i think they called the game at the third inning cuz it was like 18-0. go wildcats! they played the second game about 20 minutes after calling the first one. that game was just about as kick-ass as the first. mikhai had a blast though. he got to run around with his cousin LJ. it took a while, but LJ finally warmed up to mikhai. my son has no qualms about seeing new people and talking to them or playing with them. which in itself can be a good thing, or bad thing. but, the fun started last night. mikhai and i came upstairs for bed about 8:00. i think we were both passed out by 8:30 we were so tired from our day outside. everything was great until about 1:30. mikhai woke up, fussed a little, then turned over and threw up on my pillow. then my shirt. then passed out, for a little bit. i got him some pedialyte and let him drink a little of that, mainly to get that nasty taste out if his mouth. what's he do them, butthrow up on me again. then pass out, again. he sleeps for another hour or so and i let him have some more, bad mistake. i had to wash my blanket, pillow, two sheets ans two towels, plus our night clothes. yippee, skippy. so we didn't sleep very much with all that going on.
we had a birthday party to go to this morning. we were supposed to be there about 10am. well mikhai has this internal clock that tells him to wake up right at 7:15. no matter what day of the week it is. i can almost guarantee that he will wake up at this time every day. anyway. we went to my niece and nephew's birthday party and OMG mikhai had a BLAST!!!! we went to a place called pump it up. it's a warehouse filled with bounce houses. there's two rooms with three "bounce houses" in each. the first room had a boxing arena with huge gloves, a slide and an obsticle course that you climbed up ladders, went down slides, crawled around things, then finally climbed up a really tall ladder to slide down a big slide. wouldn't ya know it, but my son was all over that place. the first thing we did was the big slide by itself. the first time (of about 20) i went up with him and held him in my lap down the slide. the second -20th times, i let him go down by himself. the look on that boy's face was pure rapture. he loved it. his eyes were huge and his mouth was open in laughter. god to hear that sound is wonderful. it's the best music in the world. after about 40 mintues in the first room, they move you over to the second room with three more bounce houses. this room had a basketball court, a jousting arena and another obsticle course that was just straight through the tunnels up the big ladder and down the big slide. again, wouldn't you know it, but my son was all over that place....again. he was not afraid of anything in there. if they can do it so can he. i don't know how many times i had to remind someone that mikhai was there and not to step on him...lol. he played basketball, even got to dunk a few time cuz someone picked him up. he jousted and bounced and fell on people. and he went through the obsticle course (actually he did both....many times). i'm not very old, but good god, chasing after that boy in that place was enough to wear me out. i was sweating really good by the fourth time down the slide and the third time through the first obsticle course. whew! after 40 minutes in the second room, they move you over to the party room where you have your cake and open your presents. they do everything for you. serve the cake, hand the birthday boy/girl the presents, write down what the kid got and who it was from. it's great and the kids love the daylights out of that place. well mikhai loved it so much that he passed out in the middle of the kids opening their presents. and slept like a rock for the next hour. he didn't even budge when we put him in the car, got him out, nothing. he was dead. after we got something to eat and came home, we all went outside to do a little yard work. well, mikhai was out there with us running around and wearing us out even more...lol. after we came in and he had a bath, i think he was passed out by 6:00. it's just now 10:00 as i'm writing this and he just recently woke up wanting more juice. i don't think he's awake for the night either. that boy is gonna sleep gooooooooood!!
mom and i were talking about having krys's and mikhai's party there in may. i don't know if two months is long enough for me to recover from chasing him around there today.....
so now that i've gotten all that out and i have to work in the morning, i'm putting the computer down and passing out like the little guy next to me. wow, it's been a long and exhausting day. but it was fun.
